The Point-Set Method: Front-Trackingwithout Connectivity
نویسندگان
چکیده
We describe a point-set method for extracting the normal, curvature, and surface area from unordered data points residing on a surface. This capability relaxes front-tracking’s reliance on connectivity between interfacial points and allows fronttracking to model topological changes at an interface naturally. We use this capability in 2D and 3D front-tracking calculations to model coalescence. We also describe a simple projection scheme which allows us to suppress parasitic currents in fronttracking models. c © 2000 Academic Press

Implementation of Low-Cost Architecture for Control an Active Front End Rectifier
In AC-DC power conversion, active front end rectifiers offer several advantages over diode rectifiers such as bidirectional power flow capability, sinusoidal input currents and controllable power factor. A digital finite control set model predictive controller based on fixed-point computations of an active front end rectifier with unity displacement of input voltage and current to improve dynam...
متن کاملMental Arithmetic Task Recognition Using Effective Connectivity and Hierarchical Feature Selection From EEG Signals
Introduction: Mental arithmetic analysis based on Electroencephalogram (EEG) signal for monitoring the state of the user’s brain functioning can be helpful for understanding some psychological disorders such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, or dyscalculia where the difficulty in learning or understanding the arithmetic exists. Most mental arithmetic recogni...
متن کاملA Survey on Complexity of Integrity Parameter
Many graph theoretical parameters have been used to describe the vulnerability of communication networks, including toughness, binding number, rate of disruption, neighbor-connectivity, integrity, mean integrity, edgeconnectivity vector, l-connectivity and tenacity. In this paper we discuss Integrity and its properties in vulnerability calculation. The integrity of a graph G, I(G), is defined t...
متن کاملOptimal Design of Sandwich Panels Using Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm and Finite Element Method
Low weight and high load capacity are remarkable advantages of sandwich panels with corrugated core, which make them more considerable by engineering structure designers. It’s important to consider the limitations such as yielding and buckling as design constraints for optimal design of these panels. In this paper, multi-objective optimization of sandwich panels with corrugated core is carried ...
متن کاملA new Projection Method for Point Set Surfaces
A successful approach in triangulating point set surfaces is to apply operations, like a projection operator for advancing front algorithms, directly to Moving-Least Squares (MLS) surfaces. The MLS method naturally handles noisy input data and is especially useful for point clouds derived from real-world solids. Unfortunately, MLS is computationally extensive and complex. We present a novel pro...
